How to get to Morecambe

For those of you who may be blissfully unaware of these facts, Morecambe can be found in the North West of England, in North Lancashire to be precise, on Morecambe Bay itself.

Trains

To get to Morecambe by Train there are services through to Lancaster, where you change from the main line to get the branch line out to Morecambe.
There are main line services from most major cities to Lancaster- London, Manchester, Bolton, Preston, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Plymouth, Penzance, etc. It is on the Virgin West-Coast main line. service details can be found at:

The journey time from London can vary between 2 hours 30 minutes and 3 hours. The branch train on to Morecambe takes about another 10 minutes.
There is an airport train which links through to Manchester Airport, and Liverpool John Lennon and Blackpool Airports are also relatively accessible.
Buses

There are also buses from Lancaster Bus station through to Morecambe- The 2, 2a, 3, and 4 run by Stagecoach North West

There are also longer-distance buses running directly from Preston and Blackpool.
Coach Travel

National Express runs Coach Services into Lancaster Bus Station. They run to Blackpool, Birmingham, London, Barrow, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Taxis
There are also generally taxis available at Lancaster Train Station through to Morecambe, varying between £10-15 dependent on the time of day and number of passengers.
