King Neptune’s Ball will be taking place at the speactacular Winter Gardens Theatre at 8.00pm on Saturday 5 May 2012.Morecambe Winter Gardens, 209 Marine Road Central, Morecambe, Lancashire LA4 4BU (The Winter Gardens Car Park is to the rear of the theatre. Morecambe train station is a two minute walk.) The theatre is on bus routes 3 & 4 and in easy access of the 2, 2a, 5, 6a, 41, and 755.

Some Film Noir Inspiration

I thought I would whet your appetites, dear readers, with some visual inspiration from the golden era of film noir. This was the time when the femmes were well and truly fatales, and the men were…well-dressed and either the villain or…nervous.

This was an era of glorious frocks and daring hats, of sleek suits and fantastical fedoras….

Look at the va-va-voom on that dress…the smouldering menace of Bogart!
